There’s often a moment when the person who built the system realises they’ve become its full-time caretaker, on top of their real job.
Or an owner realises that the most important thing in the business lives in one person’s head. Either way, you don’t need another tool. You need somebody to take responsibility for it.
What taking it on means
We start with an audit
We won’t take on what we haven’t understood. The audit gives us both a clear starting point.
We put the keys in order
Accounts move into the company’s name, with two-step sign-in, a vault and a second person.
We fix what needs fixing
The reds first, then the rest, in an order you agree.
We watch it
Daily checks, so a problem reaches us before it reaches your customers. Live monitoring
We answer the questions
Your team has one address for anything to do with the system. Support
We make the changes
When the business needs something new, you ask us and we agree it with you, rather than it depending on someone’s evenings.
What doesn’t change
It stays yours. Your business owns the system, the data and the accounts. We work with access you’ve given us, and you could take that back. We don’t want to be the new single point of failure, so everything we do is written down where you can see it.
The person who built it is welcome to stay involved. Plenty of builders are relieved to hand over the worrying and carry on with the part they enjoy. We’ll happily work alongside them.
Before and after
Is it right for you?
It usually makes sense when the system is important, the person running it has another job to do, and hiring a full-time developer would be out of proportion. If yours only needs a light touch, one or two of the other services may be enough, and we’ll say so.
Questions
What if we want to leave?
You can. Care services run month to month. Because the accounts are in your name and the system is documented, you could hand it to someone else, and we’d help you do that.
Do you have to rebuild it first?
No. We take on what you have, and only suggest rebuilding part of it if that really is the sensible option.
What does it cost?
It depends on the size of the system and how much change you expect. After the audit we can give you a fixed monthly price, and you’ll see it in writing before you decide.
